Last weekend was the scheduled date for Erin & Matt’s engagement session. This date was booked a few weeks ago when Erin & Matt decided to use me as their wedding photographer. By the time the date for their engagements arrived, these two were already married. They snuck off and eloped on me, but we’re still taking some photos.

Erin & Matt, Thanks for being so great to work with. And Congratulations on your run away wedding.

Ok Wow. How about some nice 50-60 degree weather… In Louisiana?? In April?? It happened. But I much prefer a few chill bumps over a few beads of sweat. Anyway… I met up with Amy & Tim in the excellent downtown area of Shreveport for their engagement session. These two were super easy to photograph, and we were able to get some really great shots. I look forward to working with these two again very soon… a bridal session, and a wedding are just around the corner.

I’ve working night and day on an exciting new website for your eyes (and ears) to feast on. Our new site is gonna have quite a few improvements over the current site…. more categories, larger images, and much more of the site will be dedicated to wedding images and information.

The new site should be completed by the end of the month. Keep your eyes peeled, you won’t regret it.

Last weekend I had a wedding with one of the funnest couples I’ve ever worked with. Amy & Jeff just ooze love when they’re together… they are so full of energy and they’re just a great couple to be around. Here are a few photos.

A couple of weeks ago I flew out to Reno to spend a few days with my sister & her fiance in Reno, Nevada. We spent some time at Lake Tahoe, we drove over to Nevada City, Ca, and we spent a good bit of time takin it real real easy. The plan was to have a bit of a breather before the crazy wedding season gets into full swing.

George works for Apple Computer, so I do everything I can to try and get a portrait session with the guy who invented the iPod… No luck yet, but I’m not giving up. We had a great time, ate several megatons of really tasty food, and caught up on old times. These two are getting married in October, so there’ll be more photos with these two later this year.

And I must tell you, looking down at Lake Tahoe from the snow capped mountains really reminds me that I should travel more often. Here are a few random photos.

(and about the cat photos… I really do apolgize. Woody Wallace (grey) and Walter (orange) are like children to my sis & George…. so I had to do what I could.)

Here are a few shots from last weekend’s engagement session… While the weather was nice and cool, I realized that a lovely Louisiana summer is just around the corner… a sweat bead here, a sweat bead there, soon there’ll be one everywhere.

Kayla & Aaron, you both were fun to work with. Thanks for your patience, and I hope you love what you see.

Last weekend I had an engagement session with two very close friends. I grew up living just a quick bike ride through the woods from Chase’s house. We went to Cancun on our senior trip together. And from childhood through high school, we have far too many stories that should never be told. Chase & Hollyn have been together for quite some time, and we’ve had quite a few good times together as well. I feel priviledged to be the chosen photographer for such a great couple, and I’m looking forward to a wonderful evening with these two at their wedding in October.

Chase got lots of kisses, but it looks like this one really hit the spot.

Last weekend I drove out into the sticks of Calhoun to take some engagement photos for Mandy & Jason. We had excellent weather, a beautiful chocolate lab named Kate, and plenty great places to take photos. These two are getting married in July, so there will be more photos coming soon….

A couple of weeks ago we had another Crazies meeting. It proved to be worth the quick drive over to Shreveport for some dinner, where we then proceded to a spicy downtown area to have fun with some lovely models (thanks to Jennifer Robison).

For those of you not familiar with “The Crazies,” it’s a group of photographers that get together once a month to have dinner, talk shop, and take some photos. This meeting is not a meeting for professional photographers. The group varies from seasoned professionals to camera enthusiasts, and from traditional approaches to art junkies. And the group ranges from Monroe, Alexandria, Shreveport, Lk Charles, etc… So what I’m saying is… there’s no reason not to come. Anyone who’s interested in some info, feel free to send an email, and I’ll make sure to get you in the loop.

There were lots of beautiful people to photograph once we got downtown, but I stuck with a group, so all of my shots are of the very lovely Devin.
